JACKS DIVE CHEST was founded by Mr Jack van der Schyff in 1993, an ex navy diver and instructor, he operated the dive academy as a class iv and iii academy until 2008, when it was purchased by Trevor Bailey in 2008, Trevor operated out of premises in the Strand Western Cape, approximately 100smetres, many goals were set way back in 2008. We have grown and moved, grown some more and moved again, eventually after 9 moves in 12 years, we now occupy 1443 smetres of under roof premises, we have achieved our goals set back in 2008, we gained our class ii training status, we have 2 Decompression Chambers with a 3rd in transit as we publish, we have grown and only with the thanks of the public and people who have supported us over the years, we have trained in this period several hundred divers but we have also given back to the community, in that we can state we have trained over 40 divers for free since 2008, some going onto becoming supervisors and sat divers. We continue to set goals and to offer our best in training.
